Ziad Al Refai
Ziad Refai is the Executive Director of Ethmar for Islamic Micro-Finance. He holds a BA in Accounting and an MBA in Microfinance. Ziad is an accredited microfinance trainer at Microfinance Network of Arab Countries (SANABEL); an ILO-certified trainer; and anEFQM-certified evaluator for excellency of management. In 2006, Ziad joined Jordan Micro Credit Company (Tamweelcom) as Executive Director; has targeted transparency, best industry practice, and social community and environmental corporate responsibility; pioneered educational grants initiative for benefit of clients' school-age children. he is Member of the Board and representative, MENA region, Social Performance Task Force. Member, Advisory Board, Youth Financial Services. Recipient, Social Entrepreneur of the Year award, Schwab Foundation.

Ethmar for Islamic Finance
Founded in 2015 by King Hussein Foundation (KHF), Ethmar for Islamic Microfinance, the first Shari'ah-compliant Islamic microfinance company in Jordan. With the license of Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) as the first Islamic Microfinance institution to fight poverty, unemployment and to provide financial solutions to those with low-income individuals (employees, workers and retirees), licensed businesses and household businesses. Ethmar aims to improve their standard of living and addressing their social problems.
