Aref Husseini
Aref Husseini is founder and CEO of the Al Nayzak Foundation for Extra Curricular Education and Scientific Innovation, Palestine Territories. His non-profit organisation is challenging traditional teaching methods in the Palestinian education system to produce more students who are critical thinkers and who approach problem solving through research, analysis and scientific thinking. Aref is an electrical engineer, a physicist and a novelist from Jerusalem who has worked in many industrial and educational fields as a developer, researcher and leader during the last 20 years.

AlNayzak organization for Scientific Innovation
AlNayzak is an independent educational and scientific organization founded in Jerusalem in 2003. It is a non-profit, non-partisan organization specializing in education, mentoring and research in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), and other educational and applied sciences and Vocational and Technical Training (TVET). Through its work, AlNayzak empowers innovation and entrepreneurship. AlNayzak serves all sectors within the local society. AlNayzak promotes and integrates innovation and creativity as authentic societal values. AlNayzak approaches academic and vocational learning through building modern scientific, intellectual, and technological skills. Its goal is to turn critical and design thinking as well as scientific methodologies into built in habits that are practiced daily by individuals, and thus contributing to the building of a productive, leading and inclusive social network. AlNayzak adopts an inclusive and balanced education accessible to all types of learners and meets their individual need as a key factor in building innovative approaches within the local context. AlNayzak creates space for innovation through its branches in six Palestinian cities along with tens of innovation laboratories installed in community-based organizations, civil society institutions and partner schools. In addition to its science museum "Science and Technology House" independently inaugurated in 2013 in the old city of Birzeit.
